My thoughts on the different Rituals
In my opinion, all these rituals are very meaningful theoretical, cultural and even obviously religious ways.
However, I found it very interesting that Christianity was the only religion that doesn't require circumcision, despite the fact that in the Bible, it is a requirement to do so. The Islam and Jewish traditions seem very similar as they might originate from the same place. Some religions such as Hinduism go through a lot of Rituals to celebrate a baby's birth, making that one baby out of millions so special. It is very questioning that, in Judaism, what about the baby makes it so dangerous to the mother that it has to be separated for such a long time? I always thought of birth in different religions to be so generic and mainstream, but compared to my thoughts, it totally juxtaposes me.
All in all, I found this research very interesting and learnt and fished out a lot of information that I will never forget, because they were just so 'different'. I also learnt how much birth means to different religions and what symbolises their birth.
